When was it set up

Wedding List Giving was set up in 2004 in order to encourage couples to take an ethical approach to weddings. The business was set up by two cousins, Holly and Hannah. Hannah ran the scheme (and participated in it on her wedding day) for two years until becoming a mum. The scheme is now run by Holly who also used the extended range of Wedding List Giving services for her wedding two years later.

Our Green Wedding List

Holly devised 'our green wedding list' after a conversations with friends about green products 'not being as nice as conventional factory goods' and due to her own desire to ask only for a few ethical gifts for her own wedding (charity donations - a wormery, an organic veggie box subscription and some unbleached towels). She was certain that there were designer 'green/ethical' goods out there and that, by making access to 'green/ethical' goods easier (i.e. having lots of lovely items all in one place) it would encourage people to think about having a green wedding list.
